A girl is walking home from school and sees a mysterious figure in the distance
she doesn't think much of it , so she continues on her journey


she progressively gets closer to the figure , she notices that it isn't moving

she pauses , takes a deep breath and walks closer ,all of a sudden it starts to move towards her.


she turns around and starts running whilst it chases after her.


After a while she thinks that it has gone away until it appears right before her eyes 
,without

  1) What is the preferred reading of a media text? This is the message/ideology/belief that the producers want the audience to believe . 2) What is the oppositional reading of a media text ? This is when the consumer takes away an opposite message to what the producers intended. The trailer represents the youth in the film as dangerous,unsafe and menacing and as an threat to those around them . This makes the audience feel negatively towards them . There is a mainstream family audience.It is rated pg (parental guidance) so the age range is 10-40.In 1963 when it was released the audience was majority male, however in recent times the number of females watching has grown by 22%. 2) What audience pleasures are offered by Doctor Who - An Unearthly Child?
