EBI: - Mise en scene (CLAMPS) analyse for q2 need to focus on textual analysis

        - revise names that feature in the nhs campaign

grade: 6 (20 /34)

Q1:  2 /2

Q2: 6/12

Q3: 5/6

Q4: 7/12

1) Look specifically at question 2 - the OMO 12-mark question. Pick out three points from the mark scheme that you didn't include in your answer.

  • knowledge and understanding of contexts and their influence on media products and processes, demonstrated by some appropriate explanation of how contexts are reflected in advertisements.

  • appropriate reference to the OMO advertisement

  • Specialist terminology

 2) Now look at question 3 - on the NHS Represent advert. Use the mark scheme to identify one way the advert subverts stereotypes of race/ethnicity and one way it might reinforce stereotypes of race/ethnicity. Try and write points you didn't include in your original answer if you can.

  • They show POC as sucsessfull people in their jobs and careers , they show that there is no difference in ability depending on peoples skin colour or ethnicity. They go against the idea that poc are unprofessional and incapable.

3) Finally, look at question 4. Use the mark scheme to identify three points you could have made regarding the key messages in the Galaxy advert with regards to genre, narrative and intertextuality.

- i could have mentioned more about the intertextuality ( the crossover between a music video , film and advert ).

- more specific refrences to the genre of the advert which was kind of a nostalgic video .

- i could of used more refrences to the narrative (storyline) of the AD and mad more points on  propps charactor theory .
